BUILDING HISTORY

About Us

Construction of the Veterans Memorial building began in 1946 by the returning veterans from WW II. It was built as a memorial to all Veterans- past, present and future.

The building is owned and managed by the Veterans Memorial Association, which is comprised of two elected board members from the American Legion Post #3, and two elected board members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #293.

By renting space at the Veterans Memorial Building, you are helping us preserve the heritage of this unique historic building. We have
three wonderful rental spaces. First is the Ballroom, it has a floating dance floor. Many dance groups, weddings, and large catered events rent space because of the hardwood dance floor and the ambiance of the room and building. Next is the Colonial Inn, it is a warm room, great for parties up to 80 people seated at tables. Last is the Dance Studio, it will accommodate groups up to 50 seated at tables, ideal for small meetings, dance classes or a private dinner space.

We have an in-house restaurant, bar and caterer in Mac’s custom catering. We work hard to provide the best customer service, and the most affordable rental in town.

By renting at the Veterans Memorial Building, you not only get a great value, but you help provide an affordable space to the groups mentioned above, and preserve one of the most historic buildings in Eugene.
